does anyone know of any local english company who can service strimmers and lawnmowers,i've tried some French firms but they take so long to do the simplest of jobs,the last time it was a new starting rope for my strimmer (under warranty) and it took 3 months before i got it back.I'm not an avid gardener but that was taking the p#ss

There's a large farm machinery company on the road between Lucon and Mareuil sur Lay at Corpe, Garage de la Frise, 02 51 56 13 16. It has a very large stock and is an agent for Sthil. You can normally buy stuff off the shelf and they will fit it whilst you wait but if you ask them to repair prepare for a long wait.

The same thing happened to me a few years ago. Took a lawnmower in with starting problem in April and didn't get it back till August. God knows why it takes them so long to sort anything out over here
